Glad you could get some opinions and get the Z30 at a good price, I hope that, like me, it works out to be a great result for you and what you do.

Great device the Z30, i made 3 people in my family buy one and i would have upgraded my fantastic Q10 with it too but i bought a Passport instead (as i really love BB10 physical keyboard interactions).

Too bad that you'll lose that bet any day of the week.
Be it the Note 4, the LG G3, the HTC One, the Sony Z2/3 or even the newest Lumia flagship.

Performance wise, they all beat the Z30 in pretty much every regard. You just have to look at the bench marks or how apps perform.
Want to open more than 8 apps? BB10 sadly can't do that.

If benchmarks and processing power and RAM are so important, why did an iPhone 6 with 1GB of RAM and like half the clock speed thrash a Galaxy S5 and HTC in a speed test?

Add in text, chat, and email communications in there with the HUB and BB10's would thrash iPhone, too.

    9/ 10 you get what I meant.

    Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.3247
BB10 users will get 10.3 upgrade for free too. I don't think I got what you're original point was.

If you watch movies a lot then the Z30 is better. It's far from being outdated.

I don't think Z30 will be considered outdated in 2015. I have had both a Z10 and a Q10 for a while now, and just bought a Z30 yesterday because I liked the quality of it the first time I saw and held it in my hands yesterday. I must say, it is a gorgeous and high quality phone. And considering how amazing BB10 is, I doubt there will be many non-BB10 phones (iPhone or Android with any OS upgrade or added spec) that can beat this phone any time soon, period!

Amen! There seems to be a lot of discussion about the real value of 1080+ screens, too. My '30 is running just fine and the 10.3.1 features (it already runs 10.3 without a hitch but for the camera issues.. understandable as it is built for a very different screen) will upgrade it impressively.
Incidentally, there was a tweet about 12 things the ip6 does "that will amaze you.". As I was reading it, I was checking off most as stuff my 30 does already. This included asking Siri/BBA " what is flying overhead". I was delighted the new BB Assistant did just fine!

Sadly, you don't understand what you see, or what the iPhone 6 represents in that case.
But it's OK, going by your closing comments, it's very obvious that your worldview is pretty biased.

Just so that understand what the specs in the iPhone 6 actually represent:

The iPhone 6 uses the best CPU the market currently has to offer for smartphones.
There is no CPU in any phone, which actually outperforms the iPhone's.
The GPU is one of the bests you can currently find in a smartphone.
Just the RAM with 1GB is rather low, but when the PassPort needs 3GB, I wouldn't exactly say that specs don't matter...

But as it seems, not only trolls don't think before they post; there obviously is another famous group of people who like to do the same thing, and funnily enough, they are an Internet phenomenon as well.

Talking about CPUs, GPUs,...., you are forgetting one thing - the human factor. I have owned and tried many iPhone and Android phones. Regardless of the specs and numbers, neither has been as practical, natural and fun to use for me as the BB10 phones (Z10, Q10, Z30). The BB10 OS is so fantastic that it will more than offset any deficiency the devices might seem to have on paper. The BB Hub, keyboard, Bedside Mode clock, ...., and the OS in general, are just hard to beat!

I am sure there are people, new owners of Iphone 4S and Galaxy S3, who are content with their phones. The Z30 is free on contract, its a budget friendly phone, with decent specs and a camera if you take selfies for Instagram. Myself I am undecided as which route to go as far as the Z30 or Passport.

I wouldn't waste the money buying a Z30. I will be honest, you should buy a competitors phone due to the apps and the app updates.
Also another reason is I dont trust BB anymore after the PlayBook fiasco and how they support their products. I again feel betrayed by BB by not releasing as of yet 10.3 for my Z30.

The phone is nice and works great but BB just seems to shove it to the consumers who support them always.
    No parody tags?

Anyone comment on the Z30s Paratek antenna, verses the Z10.

I work in an area surrounded by concrete and steel. My Z10 burns through battery trying to get a good signal.

Always wondered how a Z30 would perform in the concrete and steel jungle I work in

I had the Z10 for 18 months before switching to the Z30. I haven't done any scientific testing, but the Z30 does seem to have better reception overall. In underground garages and in my office building (downtown Toronto), I'm getting better signal on the Z30 than the Z10. Still no reception in elevators though. :P

I have a z10 and want to upgrade but I'll wait for the z30 replacement. I could never settle for the z30s Amoled display with only 295 ppi after using the z10s LCD at 356ppi.
I've always wondered why BlackBerry didn't go with a higher pixel count.
But aside from the display, the z30 is a great device.

I also always thought the Z30's screen would not be as good as Z10's, until I bought a Z30 a week ago. Yes, it is Amoled and different, but it is still wonderful. Actually, in some cases (like in CB app), I even prefer to read text over dark background on the Z30. Overall, I am very impressed with the Z30 screen quality. It is certainly a lot better than my Q10's, and in some cases, even better than the Z10's.
