Enter your phone app, swipe down from the top, click on settings, you will find Call Blocking.
    Cheers

Test it as well, your carrier has to allow it to happen. If they don't, it will still be displayed.

If you are on VZW, they will block up to 5 numbers for free/gratis, albeit you have to "renew" the blockage every 6 months.

How long has that feature been around? Maybe att can do something like that (free service? ) since they are always competing with one another. I mean they do have a feature like that, but you have to pay 5 bucks a month and I believe it's up to 10 numbers.

Not sure, the Missus was getting calls from a person who keeps forgetting to take their meds, and I called VZW and that's when I learned of it. About 5 months ago.
Maybe you can give the ATT Rep. your bestus "puppy dog eyes look", tell 'em VZW does it for free @ 5 numbers, and they can give it to you as courtesy/gratis??????

I've had the same number since the days of GTE, and eventually the company/service ended up being bought by VZW at the end of the trail....

Searching and searching, are we ever going to have the ability to block phone #s, I get a call every 5 minutes from an 1-800 number, I answer they hang up, rinse and repeat. My number is on the national block list, it would be so much easier if the phone would just block the number.

10.3.xx has that ability and there are already a few apps out that block individual numbers. You can wait for the official release or have it now by downloading a leak.

Beg to differ, but the latest leak, 10.3.1.1016 still does not have the ability to block numbers. Not that I have found!

There a few apps in BB World for blocking calls.
I would go with that until 10.3 officially drops. Leaked OS versions can have little hiccups here and there, and sometimes features hobbled.

Call Blocker apps running on and updated for 10.3.x can block calls by number by method of Ignore, sending the call to voice mail.
If you are running 10.3.x, check to see if your Call Block app has been updated or search for one in App World.
I use Power Tools, and it now has the above ability.

Otherwise, BB10 always had a built in basic call block, however the carrier can disable and/or hide that from the system menu, forcing you to use/pay for their call blocking services.
On my Verizon Z30, they have disabled and hidden it, however with 10.3.0.908 I am now able to see the entries in the menu, just still not access them.

There are a few apps for 10.3 (Blockr & Power Tools come to mind) that don't actually block the number but will ignore it and you will never know they called unless they leave a VM. It won't show on your screen and you don't get any ring.

I thought it worked well and Blockr tells you how many times the number had a "hit" so you know how many times a particular blocked number has tried to call.

Go to you contacts, add a new listing for "unwanted" or what ever you want to call it, enter the phone number you want blocked, go to Settings, Notifications, contacts, "Unwanted" and set ringer to silent.
    Good luck
