Hi,

I have BB Z30 and it is almost 15 months old too. I bought it from Dubai and living in India.

Two days back, suddenly its screen gone black and nothing is display. Some time, just Red light blink only.

I have tried below methods, but not working yet.
1. Power + VOL+/-, but no hard reset
2. BB Link - Factory reset and reload software
3. Autoloader- it is completed but same condition

Please help me to bring it back.

I had the same problem and sent it back for warranty work and they sent a new device for 150.00

yes your out of warranty so it will cost you to get it fixed, you can try to do it yourself but you would have to search to find out how to do it.

When you hook it up to link does it tell you the setup needs to be completed?

Once it was connected to Link than I reloaded software.

Now even link is not identifying it.

Did you connect it via HDMI to a monitor? at least you can see if it is the screen that is dead or the whole phone.

Hook it to link and reload the OS. Yes link won't reconize it but you can still reload the OS. I have brought back 2 Z30s back from dead.

I had a similar problem recently. Instead of a black screen, I just had an error message with a red light. I tried loading the software via BlackBerry Link multiple times but always ended up with an error message.

If I remember correctly, I used Sachesi to reload the software

i have same problem with my z30. display gone while it was getting charged. I have submitted it to the service center but even after > 20 days, no response from them. They dont have the parts ( thats what they say when i call them).

Just brought another one back to life by reloading os using bb link. Same issue black screen red light flashing.

happened to mine last month. got the lcd changed and everything good now

To facilitate the repair, the limited warranty has been extended for all BlackBerry Z30 smartphones experiencing the issue described within the Overview section above to April 12th, 2015. To process repair for affected BlackBerry Z30 smartphones, please Email [email protected], providing the PIN number from the BlackBerry Z30 smartphone so that can be used to process this request.

Please note: conditions that will void BlackBerry’s limited warranty include: signs of misuse (cracks, bite marks, tread marks, etc.), indications the device has been submerged in liquid, opening of the device by non-authorized service providers, exposure to extreme heat and purposeful removal of device identifying serial numbers.
