Well, if you are more in to gaming, M8 is better. If you will are not interested in games or just casual games you can go with Z30. The so called strongest point of M8 - the cameras - are the weakest point. In android world, M8 was a big disappointment. I first started with HTC when they called Qtek. If you can wait a bit in Q1 or Q2 we will see some nice phones from both Blackberry and android world. Cheers

In my long research time to find the best replacement phone for my wife, I tried all the top ones. The search ended with the M8 and the Z30 as final candidates. In many ways the two are very equal. Cnet absolutely gushed about it.

The M8's vaunted Boomsound is a step above almost any other phone, but for me did not equal the Z30, which had a fuller note with more bass and no buzzy vibration. The M8 also has some great camera functionality owing to the dual backside cameras. However, clouds would completely wash out in bright sky, and sharpness was lacking.

Specs alone can't always favour the better candidate, and the Z30 won out in most respects. For instance, the M8 is quad-core and Z30 dual-core, but I now believe the BlackBerry 10 OS to be more efficient and so performance-wise they appear on equal footing, but BB10 wins in usability. We have not regretted the choice after 6 months.

It actually was very well received... almost too well so.

I think the cameras could've been better though.
