Depending on your needs, you can't go wrong. What do you need your device to do?

If I had to pick between the two Android devices, networks being equal, I'd always go for the HTC.

I have both a htc one and a z30, The z30 wins on battery, but the htc has a brighter sharper screen and music is noticeably better sounding. Especially with headphones, the htc has more bass, richer sound and cranks nice and loud and makes the music sound GOOD. The z30 sounds good but not GOOD.
I mostly do emailing and Web browsing (use it for work) so for that I prefer my z30.

I have no experience first hand with the HTC, but I've heard that speaker quality can go either way. Different people claim different results. I'd assume it's close to a toss up.

Z30 probably has the best battery and the most organized communication experience with the best reception. The screen is not as sharp as the other two options, but I don't find myself disappointed with it.

    Good luck, OP!

I had htc one m8, and not happy with the battery at all, sold it and now happy with my z30. Regarding speakers, htc is a bit louder but there's no bass feel in the sound, z30 is not so loud but sound is awsome, i'm using my z30 listening to Ministry Of Sound and there's deffinitely no better phone on the market
Never had sgs5 but for me it's only plastic fantastic. Difficult choice but if u don't care about google servixes then I would suggest z30....

    it's what you want...

i don't think you'll ask what underwear to put on every morning, you just do what you want not so?
same should be said for a phone, get what YOU want because it has what YOU are looking for in a mobile device.

Z30 uses the best speakers, amazing battery life and the best wireless reception. You can also use a 128GB SD card and put all the music or movies you want on it.

I have yet to try a Samsung or LG that does not leave the impression of cheap toy plastic build quality..

I would disagree with you on the sound considering this face off between the Z30 and the M8.

To make the test equal, the Z30 volume had to be put on 80% against 100% volume on the M8. The M8 does have more bass, but the Z30 has a more natural sound.
