Hello crackberry users, I was wondering from all the pics I've seen of the z30 (since haven't got the chance to play with it in stores ) if the z30 is really heavy?

I've never felt it as heavy or bulky. I stick it in my back pocket all the time.

But dayum is it the best blackberry I've ever owned. Huuuuge step up from my Z10

It's a little heavy, but only compared to other devices.

It's not super heavy, and it's actually fairly thin.

You'll get used to the heft, it's not bad, and it feels solid in its weight.

So no worries, it's an excellent device.

To me the z30 isn't heavy at all. I had the chance to play with one from vrzn and I'm well pleased with the feeling. It feels well built

The Z30 to me is perfectly weighted, its easy to move around in your hand and you know you have it in your hand. It's not light like an s4 which seems like you can drop it to easy.

I find it very balanced to be honest. It feels great in my hands and I have smaller hands. I'm not a large guy at all 5'7".

I love the feel of the phone and its not that much larger than a Z10. It's also the same thickness. Maybe just a tad bit thicker. Just a bigger screen, huge battery that I can get like 18 hours of non stop use easy. And wireless charging. Love my VZW z30. Easily the best BlackBerry I have ever owned bar none. Scratch that. Best phone I have ever owned/used period.

Why is it a step up from the Z10?

I'm thinking of upgrading but in don't really see the point.

Worse resolution, non-removable battery, bigger footprint.

That weighs the same at 170g
The HTC one is 27g lighter.

We're not talking half a kilo difference here.

It is heavier than most smartphones out there and you will notice it right away.

I actually don't mind the extra grams of weight. It feels solid in your hands.

The people saying this phone is light I really don't know what you were using before. I went from a 9900 to an iPhone to a nexus 5, kept the 9900 as daily business phone while using the other ones.

The z30 is not a brick compared to the others but it us noticeably heavier. This extra grams you can feel.

I'm not using it against the z30, earlier post I said it feels solid. I actually prefer the extra weight.

Those asking how heavy it is or how heavy it feels, let's put it in context and tell us what you are currently using.

    Where do I begin?

-first off, the battery lasts over a day of moderate to heavy use. With my z10, I always had to carry a spare battery or have a charger cable nearby. That alone makes it worth it. But wait, there's more....

-bigger screen. More to see and the keyboard works better.

-dual stereo speakers. I listen to music through my phones speakers. The Z30s dual stereo speakers are f-i-ne fine! The z10 mono speaker sounded like listening inside a tin can.

-slightly snappier processor. Who doesn't enjoy more speed?

-paratek antenna. Fewer dropped calls, Esp in low signal areas.

I park my Z30 next to my wife's Z10 every night for charging. Can barely notice the screen difference.

Couldn't pay me enough to go back to a Z10.

    Best BlackBerry ever!

Seriously it is awesome to look at and awesome to hold. Super solid...very well made. With the latest leak (10.2.1.1259) runs Android apps like a champ. Just loaded remote control android apps for my Blu-ray player and my Sharp TV...works perfectly. Streams music via BUILT IN DLNA...perfectly to my stereo devices....the phone is a Monster!!!!

I loved my Z10 but there are a couple differences that I enjoy. I do like the bigger screen. I love my PlayBook but use it less and less even more so since I got my Z30. I love the dual speakers. Watching videos on it with the bigger screen mixed with the natural sound is awesome. I also like having Miracast. It's been fun to play with. Typing with one hand is not as easy but I don't mind that as much. And the screen resolution is great. I don't notice a difference. But I also like changing my phone quite often. So far I do like it a lot.

It's heavy but in a good quality build way. I hated the Samsung S4 for its cheap plastic feel.

I'm a petite female with small hands and it's a breeze to use

It's not at all heavy, and I don't have any problem of using it one handedly. But after using my Z30 and when I take my Z10, it feels like a toy!

Took some getting use to with respect to one handedness, but once you are use to it, it feels normal.
