I'm really happy with my black Z30 and I want to grab a second one as a spare. I read that a white one has a really slippery back. But it simply looks great with that color. If you want to get yourself a Z30, would you take the black or the white one?

The back on the black one is both beautiful and functional, I'd go for black as the white one is indeed more slippery and it would require me a case to use it iso naked.

Now that I have had both, I would go with the black one. The back is much better and it looks smaller. The white one looks bigger. It isn't, but the colour plays a trick on your eyes.

Edit: better feel and grip. Obviously, the tech and specs are the same.

You can buy the grippy, black back, to use with the white Z30. I did that.

I bought the black one and bought the white back cover. Now my sister is using it.

I bought both. I prefer the black as the white one is more slippery. Not as slippery as a q5, but certainly more slippery than the black one, which has a nice carbon fibre back.

My white one also has some occasional minor bugs, but I don't think that is indicative of all white ones.

The white from the front looks great but from the back looks like another phone... also it is slippery.
The black carbon fibre texture makes it stand out. Also its grippy and looks good too

I'll also add the back cover on the white Z30 seems very fragile by comparison. I've had the back cover off my black Z30 many times to pop out my microSD and not had any issue. On the other hand, my wife cracked the back cover on her white Z30 simply pulling her TPU cover off to clean it. It caught the edge of the cover somehow and got a nice big crack in it.

Another very small detail is the notification LED has a clear opening on the black Z30; on the white one there's no opening. The LED just sits behind the white coloring, so it diffuses the light a little bit. I could see this being a matter of personal taste for some people. I think on the white Z30 it looks kinda cheap; but then again there's been a few times the LED on my black Z30 has been so bright I think it actually woke me up (when I didn't want it to.)

Both are great devices but I would personally choose black.
