The rapid charger doesn't have yellow in it. I think they are not the original playbook chargers but perhaps knock offs.

I bought two PBs. The first came with the black only version, aka

Of the two I find the latter much better. And I think it gives out 0.2 A more as well.

The USB plug charger with it is so slow...and if I use the parents Q5 charger it takes like an hour to get 18% increase.

Use the PB charger or at very least, an old skool BlackBerry charger.

Since the charger that came with my z30 crapped out, I'm charging my z30 with my storm 2 charger and not one Damn is given. I like living in the wild side.

I believe the PlayBook charger outputs 1.8 A. I don't know the output of the Z30 charger.

Works great. I've been charging both the Q Z and PlayBook with it. All since I've got then and no problems whatsoever.

I've been using the yellow tipped PlayBook charger with all of my BB10 devices. My Z30 tends to go from near 0 to a full charge in around two hours.

Probably died. I only use the Playbook charger and it is fantastic.
Did have one crap out though.

+1 bought 2 Playbooks, second one much later and came with the yellow end, I find it better also - maybe just b/c it's newer and the original might have a small short....

Anyway, they are dirt cheap on Amazon, no point in ever using a "regular phone voltage charger"

I'm with you. In 15 months, I have had 4 Z10's and am on my 3rd Z30.

I just received a new PlayBook charger from Amazon 2 days ago. I now have 3 in the house.

Get the car version. I love it. I think it is called "BlackBerry Premium " charger. Has one permanent cable and a second usb slot above it. I frequently have both going.

Verizon has a car charger like this that works very well. I use the cord from my Z30 charger and plug it in to the open USB slot. I try to only use BlackBerry chargers on my BlackBerry devices, but since I'm using a cord that came with an original charger, I think I'm good.

PlayBook charger is output: 5V, 1.8A.

I'm not sure what the Z30 charger is but I'm guessing it's the 800mAh, which is the very minimum that the BB10 device lineups require. You are actually better off using the 1.8A from the PlayBook to charge the Z30 as well as the Z10, Z3, Q10, and Z50 (ok, the last one there is my wishful thinking ).

My complaint when I got my z10 and z30 was how long it took to charge with the stock charger. I picked up a PlayBook charger and never looked back.

Yep, I just pulled out my wifes Z30 charger that is still in the box and it's an 850m.
