Yes, I have all those phones... Love my Z30, but it give me the slowest BBM Experience. BBM Channels are noticeably slower on my Z30.

It's now time for BlackBerry to step up the Quad-Core.. Dual core not cutting it no more.

Oddly enough BBM7 runs much faster on me 9900 than BBM on my Q5 and Z30... Really Frustrating..

I've heard this a few times in passing. I've had pretty solid experience on the S4, as well, and have really enjoyed using it.

Are you running the latest BBM from BlackBerry World? I'm running the BBM from 10.3.0.700 and have loved how smooth it is, it runs perfectly no problems on my end. I did experience some lagging with it before too however the newest version seems to fix those problems, at least on my Z30.

10.2.1.2141 is your mobile os version. 10.3.0.700 is bbm's version number.

Go into settings>app manager>device monitor and click on bbm app. There you can see the bbm version.

My mistake. Go into bbworld, search for bbm app and there you can see the version number you have.

Nothing to do with quad core. To think a messaging app needs quad core to function it is beyond the pale. Find a Moto X since its dual core and you'll find the same thing, its faster.

I've had no issues at all on my Z30 with BBM, just used it for a month to do messaging, calls and video calls while traveling all over Europe. Bought Vodafone International sim. It was great for data and the Z30 was a champ.

I think it has to do with all the extra transition animations that are used to bring in all the different elements into view, these are kinda built into it since cascades is probably being used. Looks cool, but introduces more opportunities to notice any lag.

Yes that's the "choppy" feel I get that does not exist on iOS versions.

If you've never used the iOS version or android version you won't understand what I mean

BBM on my Z10 works flawlessly and smoothly. I hope that those complaining about BBM lagging on their BlackBerry device is running an official OS. Complaining while using a beta OS just doesn't cut it.
