What is going on with the "Auto Timezone Updates"? I have had several notifications in the past couple of days telling me that my Timezone has been updated to Pacific Time....but I never left. Just found out a co-worker is experiencing the same thing.

Any ideas why or how I can stop it?
    Thanks.

I could be wrong, but believe it's carrier based. You could turn off the auto update for a couple days, or call them.

This has happened to my friend on Rogers a few times yesterday. Nothing on mine (Telus).

I confirmed 5 phones on Rogers or Fido. My friend on Telus is not experiencing this issue. I am on with support now. This is a network issue with Blackberry phones only.

I got it too on Rogers.

    LOL.

    Maybe we time traveled somewhere.

Yes it's a BlackBerry. If you have something bad to say... speak to Easton!

I'm on Rogers on the West Coast And it happened to me four or five times in a couple of hours. I was actually flying around the coast at the time, and thought that had something to do with it, but since reading the comments of others, I'm guessing it was a local Rogers issue. Since 30 September it hasn't recurred.

When I spoke to Rogers support guy, he indicated he has seen this before in Quebec. I guess they have different network regions and he believed this was a network issue for my region only. Not sure of the size of the region, but I live in the greater Vancouver area.
He also suggested I turn off my "auto update timezone" for a few hours. I did comply.
So my issue seems to be resolved, not only on my phone, which I turned off the auto update feature, but 4 other phones in my family/work that were experiencing the same issue (they did NOT turn off the auto update feature)
So I assume it was a network issue.
