If its anything over 4.8" (it will) then i would like it to be 1080p. I don't know it it will be though because they already said that for the time being they would keep it 720p for developer reasons...I think it should be pretty simple to bump it to 1080p from 720p but I'm not a developer so I wouldn't know. I do know that if Backberry wants to remain relevant they have to match the competitors specs so it's not "outdated" coming out of the gate. At first I didn't want anything over 4.65", but after playing with the galaxy s3 I wouldn't mind them size at all. Hell, even a note 2 sized blackberry with the rumored specs would be awesomeness. I'm sure that a 5-5.5" phone in 2013-2014 will come out in full HD1080p to have that oooohhhhh factor. If not....I'll still like it, but I'll think that it was a mistake. I don't think any phone over 5" released this year has been less than 1080p.....

There have actually been plenty of phones 5" and beyond that have stuck with a 720p display, the issue is how many will still be doing that by the end of the year and while a larger display bb10 device would still find an audience it would only be a mid-range device by that point and a missed opportunity.

As I understand the rumor mill on this, the theoretical Aristo would be a 1080p screen, because it's intended to be a high-spec device. Even with a quad-core SoC, many would dismiss it without that full resolution.

My take is that as long as they maintain the aspect ratio, the actual resolution may not be such a big issue.
