Default Anyone else noticing 6GB+ in "System" storage?

I was installing a new game and while waiting I went to check my device storage. When I noticed that "System" was reporting 6GB+, I got a little concerned since there is no way to really see what that is:
Anyone else noticing 6GB+ in "System" storage?-img_20140418_203259.png

I only have two ActiveSync accounts hooked up to my phone, and I store all my media and files on my SD card.

I know I have a lot of games and various apps installed, but it looks like they are showing up separately so I don't think they count in the 6GB+.

Anyone else seeing a large system size?

Yeah, mine's 6gb too. This great OS don't come for free. Good thing the memory is infinite with expandable memory!

Here is mine, only 2.35GB. BBM, Hotmail, Gmail and two email accounts; no social accounts, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

I wish I knew what was different between our two setups to eat 3.5+ GB. :-(

I'm sitting at 2.44. 3 email accounts, twitter, Facebook, etc installed but I like to keep my HUB cleaned out. I only have about 40 messages in the HUB and I also clean out the apk files after I've installed the apps from SNAP or the Amazon Store.

Not sure if any of that counts towards system storage though.

My system files are approx. 2.5 GB but the CB10 app is almost a full GB itself!

I've read that the only way to dump CB10 's cache is to uninstall/reinstall it. Will my settings be retained and pulled in from the website, or will I need to re-create signature, subscriptions, etc? Thanks for advice - I hadn't noticed when the app got so bloated. (Note to self, add a way to delete the cache on the fly, to requests for CB10 improvements.)

I have noticed this a few times after updates. Only way I fixed it was to do a wipe and reinstall.

Did you guys install a leak and restore a backup on top of it? It is one of the culprit that cause the system size to grow up by magic.

I restored my Z10 backup on top of my Z30.

I wish there was a way to see what was being counted as "System" because I really don't want to go through the pain of a wipe and manual re-setup w/o a restore.

This is mine.. autoloader for OS 2234 and ran back-up from link to get monopoly and Nfl mobile that I won't normally get on Z30. So the hint that running a leak and restoring on top of it may cause this to happen certainly did not in my case.

I clear out text messages and BBM messages (including BBM group stuff like pictures). I have only 30 days worth of email for both email accounts. Me email accounts are both less than 1GB in size each, so the 30 day mark should be significantly less than that.

OP do you have any voice recording app? There's one of them that stores the recordings in the cellphone memory making it inaccessible.
