No wonder CB10 app data memory keep growing. All stuff, news, forum we view is stored but never get deleted or a way to delete. The stuff I view weeks ago even can be read offline.

That's your *storage* you displayed there, not your memory. That's the space on your device taken up by system files, apps, and any files you created. Looks like you have 2 large games taking up a lot of space, but nothing else stands out to me.

Sorry I know memory have two meaning. Because I am usually used to call storage memory while call memory Ram but what these systems store?. Apps is self explanatory, used is all our files and media but system. If it is the Os itself why it keep dropping. Today drop 8mb from 958mb to 950mb

I don't know for sure why system files take up less space sometimes. Best I can guess is an analogy to Temp files on a PC. When something is in use, perhaps it creates temporary files or cache on the device which are automatically deleted when no longer needed.

I see decreasing storage as a *good* thing. It means the OS cleans up after itself and more space is available for user files or apps.

Apparently in some cases certain applications such as file synchronizing apps will store temporary copies of a file or files being synchronized in this "System" or "Other" area, and when those files finish synchronizing the space previously used to store them there becomes released.

I believe one of the previous posters here mentioned this - I will look it up and modify this post if I find it.

I was installing a new game and while waiting I went to check my device storage. When I noticed that "System" was reporting 6GB+, I got a little concerned since there is no way to really see what that is:
    Attachment 264079

I only have two ActiveSync accounts hooked up to my phone, and I store all my media and files on my SD card.

I know I have a lot of games and various apps installed, but it looks like they are showing up separately so I don't think they count in the 6GB+.

Anyone else seeing a large system size?

It was me and yes you are correct that OneDrive had an almost 3GB file stuck in the "System" as it was trying to synchronize the file. That will learn me to try and sync my movies to OneDrive. :-)

I have been getting notifications about my Device Storage being full. I have deleted almost every app I have downloaded. (Since I took the screen shot I also deleted Instagram, didn't help at all). I have cleared out my messages. I have always saved all media to my SD card. I have the newest OS update. I cannot figure what is using up all this storage?!

PS have never posted here before so apologies if I did anything wrong...

Wow... and I thought my 6GB "system" storage was ridiculous, you almost doubled my previous "best".

If you had ever downloaded things like movies from BlackBerry World to your main device storage, then this could leave file fragments that take a lot of space. To my knowledge there is no way to scan the main memory to detect and remove file fragments.

You may have to wipe your device and try a restore to get rid of the file fragments, if that is what is happening in your case.

I haven't ever downloaded anything big like that. And its definitely slowing my whole phone down. Unfortunately Blackberry Link can't even seem to do a backup of my phone (after 2 hours says 100% complete but continues to "pend" telling me not to disconnect my phone). So I'm afraid to wipe device and lose all my contacts/notes etc.
    Frustrating day!
