    It's a better deal through shopblackberry.com at $499 unlocked though BlackBerry Black Z30 - ShopBlackBerry.com

Man!! I should have waited a bit I got mine off contract for $650.00 when the y first became released. I have spotted brand new sealed unlocked from Kijiji in the Toronto area even the new white ones for $400.00 and under.

    My extra extraordinary Z30

It's a deal in that for only what $30 (if you unlock it)more you have an in store warranty vs having to send it out. For about $130 more than street, you have a lot less worries.

Telus has some pretty good prices on the Z series phones right now.

Not bad for a retail buy.

Tempting as there doesn't appear to be much on the horizon for new BlackBerry handsets.

I think that BlackBerry should pull a Google and direct sell the Z30 for $349. Aside from the battery, the Nexus 5 has better specs so the price drop isn't a stretch. Plus they can get more BlackBerry devices into people's hands and build up the user base.

C'mon BlackBerry - think outside the box!!

Without any statistics to back this up, I'm going to guess that the Nexus 5 has out sold the Z30 100 to 1. Sure, it may have slight poorer build quality, but apparently the masses aren't bothered with that.

Screen quality, app selection and a decent camera is what is winning them over. The Z30 has a superior OS, productivity factor, battery life and, yes, slightly better build quality. The only way it's going to make any impact with the zero marketing that it has is to have a price cut down to $350. $500 won't cut it; people will just go on contract at that price.
