Can I use a charger which is 2.1 Amps for my BlackBerry Z30...?? Does this harm my devise or the BlackBerry do support a supercharger...??

I don't see any reason it wouldn't be. The premium car charger is 1.8A, and I know many who use the PlayBook rapid charger.

Yes you can. The charging process is controlled on the phone with a voltage regulator circuit that prevents, to a level, over charging. However, I would not leave that to charge overnight. It will make your device get warm to hot, which is not good!!

Use only when you need to top up when required.

    Cheers!

As long as it's below the capacity of the battery, it will be fine. If the charger was rated for 2880ma it would charge the Z30's 2880mah battery in one hour, the equivalent to 1C. That's as high as you want to go for the Z30.

Also, yeah, the phone regulates it anyway so don't worry too much about it.

An electrical device will only draw the amps it can use, and not vice versa

Technically you could over charge a battery. Typically with a phone battery that only occurs when there's a problem with the battery.

If I'm not mistaken I don't think it's possible to overcharge the new lith-ion batteries in phones due to whatever technology in them that prevents that. I could be wrong though.

There is circuitry built in to protect the battery. Given enough voltage or amps, it cannot save it fast enough. If the circuitry fails o is defective, it will cease to protect it. We've all seen stories of phones getting hot, even catching fire or exploding. There's only one power source within them.

In which case the fire department will find the melted phone in the midst of your burned out house!

Same here. Just noted in another thread I've been using the 1.8A Playbook chargers for the whole time I've had my Z30's, since September 2014. Still good battery life. None of the doom and gloom that several here on CB forums insisted would occur.

Not sure about now, but a while back you could get the Playbook chargers CHEAP on ebay, brand new. I bought several, and am glad I did.
