    Device storage is off - supposedly taking 15gb or so.

    I don't have a lot of apps, not ones that are big anyway.

    Any advice on what I can do? I've been suggested by a friend to back up and factory reset...

    I also encountered this problem on my Z30 2 days ago, when I tried to copy a 2GB files to Z30 internal storage.
    Tried reboot, hard reset, and power off the phone, but the issue still there.
    Then I tried to do security wipe. Guess what? The wipe failed. It give me BB210 error or something.
    I have to resort to autoloader to solve this issue.

    Sign out of Dropbox. Then sign back in. Its cache has grown out of control. Everything else looks normal.

    Connect to Dropbox should be around 100-150MB, not 2.9GB.

    A lot of Android Apps expand or save their data in hidden folders... delete them and their data to get more space.

    I've actually wiped my device yesterday, surprisingly it worked and it's back to normal.
