I still can't do facetime or bbm video chat with all my friends and family that carry iphones.
Except for that minor annoyance I love my z30 on bb10.
Maybe there is an update on the way?

I gave my mistress my playbook and "facetime" with her using my Z30

I'm really done about witch phone is better. Always searching stuff like that but do you know the truth? Doesn't matter witch phone is better or has better specs or more apps or anyway. The best phone for you is the one that you like. You cant have everything. Each one is better in its own way. For example someone can say that the best phone for him is a Nokia 3310. And it is for him. The thing is what you want from a phone and not what has better specs cheers

    BlackBerry z30 FTW

I never compare to iPhone. BlackBerry is never going to outsell Apple again. The war was lost a long time ago.

I know why I like my Z30 but I don't even try to sell it to anyone else.

The thread is not to compare the sales statistics of a Z30 to iPhone 6. It's to show from a hardware and capabilities perspective how much more dynamic the Z30 is.

The iPhone in my opinion is a ****ty phone in comparison to other smartphones including BlackBerry's, that are currently in the market. But it goes to show you what solid marketing and well developed app ecosystem can do. Like selling ice to an Eskimo!

    Look! It's Zedzilla 30!

Although I admit some of the points are opinions, I'm surprised that some people consider the Z30 being able to play android apps as not an advantage.

It's not an advantage because most applications the Play store or the Amazon App Store get will also likely be added to Apples App Store natively. Considering the relatively limited app selection in BlackBerry World (shout out to all the devs who are developing for it) BlackBerry had no choice but to do the android application support.

This is about the 4.7" iPhone 6. Some points are opinions but I hear nothing but criticisms about OS8 and nothing but rave reviews for BB10.

I will go on record and say the 6 is a very good phone and for argument sake it does have a brighter and sharper screen than the Z30 and a better 8mp camera. Many will probably prefer it's aluminum design as well, as long as it isn't bending in their pocket.

    I like the iPhone 6.
And I hear plenty of bad about BB10.
BB10 is what I prefer but the OP list was very incomplete.

    1. Better OS
In some ways yes, in some ways no.
    2. Hdmi out and Miracast
IPhones have AirPlay and I think HDMI out, at least they used to.
    3. Removable storage
Big advantage for BlackBerry but for some, a 64 GB iPhone is the most convenient if cost is no object.
    4. Better security
    Probably, though both are good.
    5. Better keyboard
    Agreed. Though this is subjective.
    6. Actual NFC
    Not sure about this.
    7. Better speakers
    Haven't compared the two.
    8. Better reception
Haven't compared these either, but probably true.
    9. Better battery life
    Not sure but possible.
    10. Android and BB10 apps
Um, this is a huge advantage for iOS. Don't pretend it isn't. I would ditch Andriod apps in a flash if I could have alk apps natively.
    11. Better messaging hub
    Absolutely agree here.
    12. Better design
Totally opinion. Both are very nice looking phones.
    13. Bigger screen
This is just silly. There is a larger iPhone, and smaller BlackBerry so this holds no water. Plus the screen is better on the iPhone 6.
    14. More ram
True but BB10 needs more so that is negated
    15. Better front facing camera
    Not sure.

Now for areas where and iPhone is better:

    Many, Many more native apps.
Readily available from any major carrier.
    Many more third party accessories.
    Better iTunes syncing.
The option to have built in storage in much larger capacities
    Super thin

Why would you want to run Andriod apps?
    This isn't a "feature" it's a limitation.
On iOS you don't HAVE to run Android apps.
On BB10 you have to if you want to run a lot of apps that are not on BB10.

This is an advantage over Windows Phone, but not over iOS.

    Many, Many more native apps.
    - something that's been already discussed to death!

Readily available from any major carrier.
    - I've yet to have an issue with my Carrier providing a BlackBerry. Then again I do live in Canada.

    Many more third party accessories.
    - This is so true, no rebuttal from me!

    Better iTunes syncing.
    - I'd hope so since it's their ****ty way of locking you into a proprietary system. I'd rather drag and drop thank you very much!

The option to have built in storage in much larger capacities
    - What good is that when the cost of that added storage is astronomical? What do you do once you fill up that storage? At least with a BlackBerry, I can instantly have up to 80 GB of storage (16GB on board and 64GB SD) without ever having to pay more then the list price of that device and one time cost of that microSD card.
    Super thin
