Discovered in just a few hours of use (using Z30 only as a phone and No Apps of any kind are running, no Twitter, no FB, nothing, just a simple phone..) battery dropped to 10 Percent

Discovered over 50 Percent of CPU was used by Blackberry Blend but could not close it (blue Circle) until today... time will tell if this solves issue

I am ALWAYS connected to either my home or work computer via Blend. No excessive battery drain since the update.

This is after being connected via Blend for 12 hours.

If you message a lot from blend it will definitely eat up battery but not THAT bad. Probably just a bug. Close it from the device monitor or reboot your phone.

Having the same problem. Since update Blend is a constant batter drain. Has been through 56% of the battery in less than 4 hours this morning. Any help to stop this insanity is appreciated.

Not sure if this helps the insanity but in my case, I could not stop Blend (and have no use for it..) until the next day. Repeated rebooting did absolutely nothing, Blend popped up and started chewing on battery so much that in just driving for a 2 hour meeting, it dropped from 100 to 35 percent. Device Monitor (see below) could not select and close, tried, nothing....

The next day, I was able to open Device Monitor and click on CPU, select Blend and click on the Blue Circle - Close. That stopped battery drain immediately. Upon next reboot (as a test) Blend started up again and was eating up over 50 percent of CPU so had to do Blue Circle - Close again.

Have not rebooted since then but battery is now normal, including overnight without any charge connection.

What about when it does actually connect to your computer ? Does it still eat up battery ?

Thanks a ton. Was able to close Blend from Device Monitor per your advice. Like you, once Blend is closed the battery usage returns to normal.

Updated yesterday to 10.3.3.1435 and now Blend is behaving normal, starts up at Reboot but goes Idle and consumes no resources.

No more need to Force Close, yay !
