I m not a first time BlackBerry user my first blackberry device was bb8520. Used lots if devices including IOS, Android.
First time using BlackBerry 10 OS Z3
    last device was Xperia C.

Design: bbZ3 design is square shape with sharp corner and feels pretty solid in hand as its quiet heavy compared to my Xperia C.
Its back made of plastic and BlackBerry logo in it give awesome feel to it. Sure you will love it.

Display: Its a 5 inch device which is plus point for me. And I like the qHD display its also having warm and cold saruration type option in setting means if those people who like amoled display which shows more colours and having yellow tint effect those people will love this display. Though it does not having automatic brightness option in setting but still it works by own and no option to disable it but I love the display also it has got smooth touch.
    LED light is really helpful

Camera : time shift effect is really awesome
Camera quality is good and it will not dissappoint you even front camera is good for selfie and Skype chat.

Phone : Missing t9 search from dialer but you can search anything from Search app even Contacts so I use search app to call somebody more then Dialer app.
Sound is loud from earpiece and you will love talking on phone

Software: Best OS till date, Fluid, lag free, smooth. Homescreen shows widget like effects also app drawer give you Android OS feel or IOS type... It supports Android apks so you can install lots of android apps from Amazon store or Mobomarket and all apps which I have installed is working fine but sometimes app didn't start or hang. My fav app Truecaller from android works but does not works like in android os as it does not run in background that means somebody calls out of contact list it does not show who is calling. So apps should runs in background same as In android OS. I think this problem will be solved in 10.3. Update.
BlackBerry hub is cool and very helpful.

Keyboard: using BlackBerry keyboard is easy and its words prediction is one of the best feature also I like the click sounds

Storage: It have got 8 gb of internal memory out of which around 4.5-5 GB is available for apps to install and SD card supports 64gb.
Apps can't moved to SD Card till date no problem faced

Headphones available with this handset is totally bad so you have to use another headphones moreover sound is not high in headphones.

Battery: 2500mah battery was giving headache to me earlier but somebody on this forum told me because its a new device it is behaving like this so wait for sometime and boom... this device last for more than a day even after that also..

Now I can say its got a good battery backup ,on standby it just decrease 2% battery for 2-3hr
It takes around 3hrs for complete charging.
But if phone battery is around 50% and then you are charging-it will charge fast
Also when phone is switched off.
Battery will decrease more in 3G standby.

As compared to z10 this device has got
Big screen, good earpiece, large battery
    Low price.

Now people who want to stand out from league of android and ios devices, those who want to use great device by paying less and want a brand name.
Want secure OS also want to use losts of apps through android store
Smartphone with a premium look and feel
    This phone is for YOU.
    Sorry if something is missed.

Battery is less as compared to Xperia C means atleast 20% less.
Last night my Wifi And 3G data remian ON and battery was 37% at 2am when I woke up at 8am BbZ3 was OFF,
But on other hand Xperia C looses only 2% charge overnight which is best thing about this phone.
My main disappointment is only battery and truecaller app

the screenshot you posted doesn't indicate bad standby usage, infact it shows over 8 hrs of usage + standby with 77% left. can you post one when you wake up tomorrow. 5% per hour is really bad. Why did you give up your xperia C with great battery life?!

i think , reason for battery drain is poor signal reception, which happened to me also, now i changed to another network(airtel), now i always on 3g, though the battery drain is minimal even in standby .

Still having that device with me
Just wanted to use Different OS as I was bored with same Android UI in each phone .
And for IOS you know same 7 year old same UI

I am from Mumbai, India. I bought Z3 last week, it's my first ever BB Device after using Symbian S60 for around 3 years and Android JB for around 2 years recently. Honestly, I am loving BB OS 10.2.1 and BB Z3.

I found this review mostly genuine, honest and useful as a reader. Although I disagree that overall anybody can call Z3 an upgrade over Z10.

The camera on Z3 captures bad colors when in Normal mode (a heavy brown color prevails on pictures), it captures comparatively better images in Stabilization and HDR Mode.

I am awaiting BB OS 10.3.1 on this device. I am not keen on taking risk of putting unofficial version of OS update on my newly bought device.

I read some people arguing upon comparison of Z3 with MOTO G(1st Gen), but I think if you feel urge to compare, then why avoid comparison with MOTO G(2nd Gen), ASUS Zenfone 5, Samsung Galaxy Grand and many more. But to me, comparison doesn’t look meaningful until one does it for benefit of self, because that time you do it with your own preferences & likes. Just comparing phones over forums for the sake of arguments leads to no conclusions.

One grudge on BlackBerry is, that they keep postponing the publicly committed time-lines of release of OS updates. I think this is where they lose the trust from existing & potential future buyers. BB OS 10.3.1 for Z3 was to come in November-2014 or earlier, then it was committed for January-2015 and latest I hear is February-2015. This really upsets public sentiments I think.

Still, I love this device and I think it is great, a less battery & RAM hogging OS and smarter in many ways than Android. I may stick to BB for atleast next 2 years.
