My carrier is vodafone india. Got an update notification. When I started it after few minutes it shows additional 1.91 gb space required. But when i check available space in storage..it shows 2.5 GB available. I deleted everything that could be deleted(apps and other files). Still no luck. Can someone help?

I tried bb link. After download completes my phone restarted. It was showing installing updates...preparing device. After it was over settings is showing 10.3.2.2474. But no new apps was installed and one notification is showing "Please free up additional 1.9 GB of space to continue with this update. You can move files .....". But i still have 2.5 gb available in system memory

you cant be able to upgrade using ota due to low memory

You wont be because the software will be downloaded which is of 1.5gb and also decompress so it takes above 3gb thats why

in case of BB link 1.5gb will be downloaded in your pc
or you could just downloader autoloader from Beta Section to do so but it will format

Strange, unable to post properly.

The same thing happen to me. Got the update notification 2 days ago. And unable to complete the installation. Always stuck with Update Interrupted. And have no idea how to resume it.
I noticed I received a different kind of update yesterday, in terms of file size. Previously it is at 481 MB, but yesterday the file size is 457 MB. Strange, even though the OS version is the same. Wanted to show the screenshot, but, unable to upload in here. Keep on showing error.

Altogether, I have repeated the process 7 times using the OTA update. So far, this is the worst of all software updates I have encountered, compared to Android, Windows Phone. I have never encountered problem with those two.

I have around 2.23 GB of free space. If according to what Blackberry said is correct, then I need around 2.5x the download size. Which is around 1.13 GB. And the phone did not prompt me to free up certain amount of additional space in order to continue, it just said the Device Storage almost full during the Step 2 (The Installation process)

Tried to use Blackberry Link in Windows 8 and it said my phone is up to date. Tried it on XP, and it can detect the new updates, however, it always encountered an error when the downloaded software reached 24%. It said "Software Update Encountered an Error" due to the internet connection. Which is not the case, as I can browse easily with no problem. I believe there is something wrong on Blackberry side.

By the way, I'm using Indosat from Indonesia.

Here's what worked for me while updating my new Z3 to 10.3.1.1179 (1.5 GB update). I had around 3.5 GB free device memory. First, update all apps from BB World. Then you can try updating. See if that works for you.

BlackBerry 10 is **** in terms of software upgrade. I tried to upgrade new version multiple times. First patch is downloading but always fail on step 2. Wastage of time and data plan.

I was also facing same issue while upgrade. I have uninstalled most of the apps, made around 3GB free space then it got updated successful. For me the OS upgrade said 434MB. No idea why it is 2.5GB for you.

Hello all ,
I tried couple of times just now, about upgrading the OS to 10.3.2.2474... I made sufficient spaces for the installation, but right at the end, where the counter reads about 9 % remaining of the 2nd part of installation, it gets stuck and, all of a sudden, installing interrupted error I received... its very frustrating...

I'm thinking this upgrade is not for z3 devices... btw, i had received update via OTA.... anyone facing the same issue... my current OS is 10.3.1.1779...

If you can't do it with BlackBerry link then take your Z3 to the BlackBerry authorised service centre
The will help you to update your Z3 if you still have warranty
They will help you
Or try BlackBerry link
I done with the help of BlackBerry link
So I think that you can also do the same..
