You need to let the OS settle, it takes about 3 days. Keep going through the usual power and recharge cycle.

One day is definitely not enough to judge, no matter what platform you're on.

Have you checked out which apps or services that are eating up your battery in the device monitor?

Do you have bad reception on 3g?

If you toggle to 'last 48 hours' in the upper right corner, does that change anything?

@iamnicodj were you able to sort out your battery problem? I'm seeing exactly the same battery graph as yours. About 1% battery drops for every 3-5min of active usage. Not very happy with this

Wow, this is strange. What exactly is the OS doing during the first 3-5 days? Is there an official explanation by BlackBerry about what's going on here?

Did this behaviour change? I don't thing my device has a problem with holding charge when it's idle. But as soon as the screen is on or I'm typing away, boom,1% every 3-5 min.

What's the use of having a large screen with a 2500 mAh battery when you can't really use it for your daily reading?

There is nothing wrong with your phone or battery. I can kill my Z10 battery in as little as 2 hours depending what I am doing with the phone. If i hardly use it i can get through the work day.
Battery depletion is completely dependant on the intensity of your usage. Gaming, surfing, poor signal strength, wifi, movies, YouTube, how many background services are running, etc.
It's a 5" phone you are using. No phone on the market gets 2 days, let alone 24 hours out of a battery 2500 ma/h with a 5" screen size and steady usage throughout the day.
It doesn't happen. Especially if it is an Apple.
Your battery stats dwarf those of my Z10. You should be thrilled that your BlackBerry Z3 has longevity I wish mine had. You have excellent results that any phone manufacturer would be proud to boast about pertaining to screen size / battery capacity ratios.
You are disappointed when you should be pleased with those results.
    In fact I'm jealous.
For the love of all that is Holy, enjoy your phone. You have a winner.

Note : I have surrounded myself with 3 batteries , and chargers everywhere , and never worry about having a dead phone, but it sure would be nice to have your specs which sounds damn near as good as or on par with the BlackBerry Z30, Samsung galaxy or Note series of phones.

From my view, I think d OS currently running in d z3 is very very buggy. D one which annoys me most is dat sometimes wen I try to swipe from d bottom to minimize an app, it does not reposed and I will have to swipe like 8 to 10 times b4 it responds. I first noticed it on one of d reviews & I felt it was d unfinished OS but now d problem still lersists.i do hope wen dey release d os10.3.1, they wil have fixed most of d bugs

If you have a screen protector that doesn't go fully down to the bottom of the screen, then it is an interrupted motion and will mess with swiping up.
