Dear BlackBerry 10 developers. Since its quite clear that the BlackBerry Z3 is designed to rapidly increase the BlackBerry 10 userbase, im sure a lot of us would like to hear it from you guys if its starting to happen, if it all.

Also how are the qwerty phone doing in relation to the full touch?

We're all rooting for BlackBerry and I think some momentum created by the Z3 would be great and there no more credible source than our native developers.

The restart of 9900 production had nothing to do with Z3 sales, or the lack of them, since it was announced before the Z3 even went to market.

The Z3 is an entry-level consumer device. The 9900 restart was to accommodate corporate customers who haven't migrated off old school BES, and that's it.

In Indonesia, my free scanner app has most downloads on z10 and second most on Z3. Z3 numbers are also rising rapidly in India

How many users do you have? In our portfolio of apps we have slightly over 15 million active users in indo, of course most of them are on bb7 but we see them switching to our android app, instead of the z3. Z3 users miniscule compared to number of z10 users and users that switched from bb7 to android.

There just isn't enough Z3 devices in channel at this time to make that large an impact. I haven't seen any evidence that more than 50k per launch in any country has happened and devices still aren't as plentiful in the Indonesia where it started 2 months ago. Foxconn is slow playing Z3s to the extreme.

Meanwhile.... Asus and xiaomi are stealing their lunch.

In india, Asus sold 40,000 zenphones in the first 4 days of launch. Xiaomi also was a huge hit. Google it and hit Google news. You'll see the figures for India and Philippines. Also malaysia and singapore....

Hopefully, with the Z3 entering multiple new markets you'll see better sales...

What I was implying was in spite of bb10, bb7 still goes strong in indo. Bb10 as a whole has a very small share.

I'm not comparing Android vs BB10. I'm just saying my app is gaining Z3 users faster than Z10 users in Indonesia and India, therefore Z3 must be selling better than Z10. Thats all.
