Wifi reception is poor.

While I really like my Z3 it suffers from very poor wifi reception / connectability.

In areas where I can not connect (although it's showing a strong signal) via wifi my tablet connects fine and works great. I will get a "wifi limited" notification and it reverts to 3g/H+

This happens in multiple places and not just one location. I'm not an engineer so I can't say exactly what is at fault but it is a big problem.

On the above network my Dell Venue 8 Tablet connects easily and at good speeds.
Again, this is not the only place it happens, just a place I'm at frequently.

Full Disclosure - I'm running 10.3.0 not stock 10.2.1. I can't remember if the problem was there when I was running stock BB10.

One suggestion that worked out for me. Just delete the WLAN Profiles you have trouble connecting with. Then add them when you go to that location next time. It will work fine.

I had similar problem with my Bold 9900, it happened to be the problem with the encryption protocol my bold couldnt handle. Dude at the customer service changed router settings and now it works smooth.

In my z3 volume up key don't work for raising the volume bt wrks for skipping the songs. What's the problem??

Long press for +/- volume key will start next / previous songs

Even with 10.3 it will not solve the issue. The thing is whenever there is a wifi network and you try to connect it, firstly it checks through a BlackBerry website. If BlackBerry website had server down than it won't work.

I updated my z3 to 10.3.1.997 and after the installation I am facing very severe problems. Like all the necessary apps are gone like- photos, music, videos, etc. And also it is not connecting to blackberry link. Pls help..

It is the features in z3 but u can change the setting whenever you want from main volume tab on setting. For ahalim767

I gave my z3 to service centre, problem is with. Wifii direct, and dust fall on screen and camera. They gave me my z3 After. 45 days.but they did not repaired z3..problem is still there and give scratches on the cover . I also serviced 4 times but no use..I want to replace my z3 with new one is this possible?

Sorry dude I got my phone replaced within 17days from the date of buying since I have a hardware failure. They told me after the use of 17days they would never replace it. Well give it a try maybe they could change their mind

Today I visited BlackBerry service center, for replacing handset with new one.but they directly told me that we can't replace the hand set. They said submitt hand set and company will decide that it replaceable or not, it mean I have to wait for 45 days of their response .i was already submitted for 45 days....please friends help me what can I do?

app from BB world is working nicely. But If u wish to install FB app and messenger(android) then u has to use some old versions as new versions creating problem in os 10.3 and jellybean also.

If your contacts are saved in your sim, try it on another phone and see if the problem persists.
Do security wipe, it won't delete any default apps, only the ones which u installed after u installed the OS. Security wipe means your phone will be reset to its default state. OS stays the same, in your case, it'll still be 10.3.1.1154.
Android player is the android runtime. It takes 3% of my battery. Are u running any android apps in the active frames. Or did u install any android apps? Cuz some do run in the background like Skype.
