    Do you think if a do a wipe of my z10 and just restore my contacts my battery would be better? Just wondering.....

    You mean and not install any apps or anything? Or do you mean just restore only contacts from backup and download all the apps and such again instead of using restore?

    Only running apps can consume CPU and thereby battery.
    If you have a huge amount of messages, the HUB and associated program will of course use a bit more CPU to process the data.

    In theory nothing should change unless something is corrupted (which should lead to crashes) your BB will behave the same, if you end up having the same apps and data on the phone.
