Does anyone know if we can use the Z10 on a carrier who has not released & officially supported it yet?

I was assuming that since bb10 no longer requires bis that we would be able to use it on carriers who haven't released the phone yet?

I am traveling in Australia where it will not be released until sometime later this month but I have already purchased and received a Z10 from unlocked-mobiles.com.

I am assuming it will work. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Before I go through the hasstle of getting my carrier (Telstra) to give me a micro sim to use but only to find it doesn't work and need to switch back to my broken up 9900? (Screen is smashed to pieces but it still works 100%!)

Its if I just won't get 'official' OS updates from the carrier, but will all the blackberry functions work? Email app world bbm etc?

Yes, provided that the unlocked device has the frequencies/bands that are compatible with the service provider you intend on using. All you need is the sim card from your carrier and a smartphone data plan. BB10 does not require BIS like pervious OS versions so once you put the sim card in the device and ensure you have a smartphone data plan everything should work. This includes, email, BBM, BlackBerry World...everything. Enjoy your Zed10 (Z10 for us Americans).

It sounds like I won't get OS updates as they are pushed by the carrier, but I can wait a few weeks until the Zee10 (Z10 for the rest of the world ) gets released & supported here
