I had the 9900 and was looking fwd to my new Z10. Hmmm, after the tutorial on BlackBerrys home site I got started. It�s like getting a typerating on a new airplane.
Now I have been using it for some days. Honestly I dont like it at all. Is too complicated for a smartphone. Often the screen freezes, and yes I have the latest update.
My wife got an iPhone and this is so easy to use.
Why complicate things when it is actually possible to make it easy?
Sorry I dont want to sound negative, but this is a big disappointment, really!

Well... if it didn't have loads of settings and features which you can customize it wouldn't be a smartphone. Your wife's iPhone has just as many places to meddle if you go looking for them, and it is a matter of personal preference whether you like the manufacturer's defaults or something different.
