Trying to clarify whether or not the stock Z10 battery charger from shopblackberry is 750 or 850. I did do a search and the results are mixed. Was just curious to know and if there are two different versions I'd think that would be odd unless model specific.

I'm a bit OCD with charging and heat as I'd like my devices and their batteries to last as long as possible especially with most being non removable. Usually charge 80/20 or 85/15 depending on the circumstance. Noticed that the Passport charger was twice as fast charging all of my BB10s, but generated more heat than I'd like so have been using the new charger that came with the Z30 which is 850 as per the charger itself.

Took a pic of both and the Passport charger is 1300. Been using the 850 with minimal heat on the Z10, Z30, and Passport. Works well and I don't mind that it's a bit slower as I have multiple devices.

Anyway, just out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone could verify whether the Z10 cube is actually 750 or 850? Thanks!

I have both. One that came with my USA release was 750. New one that came with my (few months old) Shop BBerry is 850. So, I presume, the 850 version is the "latest thinking..."

Thanks for the info! Appreciate it... seems like they started with 750 and went to 850. Was just curious as I know others have their own battery rituals or just use the PlayBook charger, etc.

Was confused as I did a search and some said 750 while others 850. Again, thanks for the clarification that there's actually 2 different chargers officially out there.

You can charge through a usb port on a computer, because it works at 500 mah. On my laptop I have one "always on" port so I don't have to keep the laptop on in order to charge my phone. I know that there aren't many laptops with that feature but you can check yours.
