Here's my typical story describing my experience with a z10 and iPhone users. I went hiking in the Catskill mountains in upstate ny this weekend. My group was a bunch of 19-23 year old college kids. Almost exclusively iPhone users. Not only was I the only person with reception in the remote area (even the vrzn iPhone didn't work) but took pictures on par with high end nikon camera. Everyone was impressed by the size and build of the phone, the time shift camera, and the clear picture even directly under the sun.

My point is, blackberry could be a huge hit with college students as most only default to the iPhone bc of its size and assumed dominance. Comments I received about my phone ranged from "sleek, sexy, and futuristic ". I was also able to blue tooth my music on speakers that weren't compatible to the iPhone 5.

I agree, BlackBerry could market the Z10 to people around that age. I'm 25, and none of my friends who have played with my Z10 have had anything negative to say about it, even though they all use iPhone and Android phones.

I originally viewed your post from my computer, but I know how pictures loaded using CB10 are best viewed using CB 10 and not online. They look insane on my Z10. Were you using HDR or just Normal mode?

Great pics and good story! I'm 20 and most of my college friends have iPhones, not because they love what it has to offer but its gotten to the point where its either iPhone or GS3/4 and most seem to choose iPhone because like you said assumed dominance. While it does have the most quality apps out of any other OS, it isn't perfect and definitely comes with its own bumps and bruises. I have friends who are often complaining about this or that when it comes to their iPhone that I never have issues with my Z10.

People need to realize that the market is there for BB to get the younger generation of teens and college kids, they just need the exposure.

Though, imo the camera is not even close to the iphones camera.

They are in hdr or using the time shift. No filters or edits. The pictures taken with the iPhone were grainy in comparison. I'm not sure if that was due to bad photography skills though.

Excellent! Question though, when you bluetooth across, does volume/function control transfer to the unit being connected to, or does control (volume, etc) remain at the BB10 device? I was told it remains at the BB10 device, but don't know for sure. It would be nice if there were a choice of which device you'd like to take control.
