Hi! I'm new here at CB. Does anyone know when the official Software Update 10.2 would be released? With that new Software, would the following apps be available in Appworld? -- Viber, WeChat, Line, Instagram and Skype. I've read that Native Apps are still way better than sideloaded apps. I currently have 10.0.10.82 here in Manila. Version 10.1 is already available for downloading but I plan to wait for 10.2 coz of all the negative reviews I've read about 10.1. I just want to know how long I have to wait for 10.2 to be released.

If your carrier is offering 10.1, go ahead and get that. 10.2 probably won't be available until later this year or probably next year. I'm on a leaked version and it runs much smoother than 10.0.

The main complaint with 10.1 is the lack of availability with US carriers.

I agree. I had a hybrid 10.1 and that one worked better than 10.0. Now I am on a 10.2 hybrid and runs smooth also. As he said above, upgrade to your carrier's 10.1 instead of waiting for 10.2.

I say go for the 10.2. You could get lucky and have no issues and better battery life like me

10.1 is fine, so go for the update. Better battery life, updated apps, more stable. And Skype is available with 10.1, so need to wait for 10.2 for that.

You have surely got some wrong feedback. I dont think the 10.1 is bad in any way when compared to the 10.0.10.x. The 10.1 adds a lot of improvement to the device. The app Skype is already available in the appworld for the users wjo have downloaded 10.1. Viber has made a statement that they will be releasing their native app along with 10.2. The others have not made any statement and we will have to continue using the sideloaded apps until then.
The 10.1 is a huge improvement over 10.0 and it is definitely recommended that you install that. A an additional 10.1 MR update will be coming in around a months time that will bring more improvements. A good release of 10.2 will not be coming for another 2 to 3 months.

10.1 is fine for me. Hadn't had a major issue with it since I bought the phone and immediately updated the software.

This is where I got to read negative feedbacks about the Software Update 10.1 (It's 10.1.0.273 to be more specific ) Blackberry Z10 Software update 10.1.0.273 - BlackBerry Support Community Forums I actually don't encounter any problem with 10.0 but it would be nice if I get to use skype... And eventually Viber and other Android apps when 10.2 comes out I will update to 10.1 tonight as you all have advised! By the way, does 10.1 already support Unicode for Emojis? I can't seem to recognize emojis from an Iphone 5 and vice-versa. It's kinda sad seeing those small boxes with x in the middle instead of the usual colorful smileys. Oh and last question... Is there an option in the 10.1 update to change the font? Thanks again guys!!

Support for emojis has already been announced by BlackBerry in the 10.2 update. So, it will come for sure.

how did you do the hybrid 10.2 software on your z10? im dying to wait for good apps, im very envious for android apps, its my first time to have blackberry handset but it made me upset when i cant even download viber apps or wechat. Im planning to sell my z10 and buy Samsung S4 instead

I really didn't find anything that worth staying with this update. I am trying to restore factory setting, but i'm not sure i will be able to do so.

What leak are you running and did you do a security wipe?

I too am on ATT and had some issues with certain leaks but the 4543 has bee running pretty well for me thusfar.
