Z10 signal is pretty strong.
I was in a location yesterday (a local PC World shop) where both my 9700 and my 9900 would lose signal (2G) as soon as I would walk trough the doors. To my surprise the Z10 kept an active signal anywhere in the shop, I was pretty impressed to say the least.

My wife says she hears me much better on the z10 than on my old 9900.
I can also say for sure that data throughput is much better (I use mobile hotspot a lot).
In either case I'm using the same network (bell) and still connecting with HSPA only so it's definitely the phone that's the difference.

There's a couple more places where I know I would lose a signal before, like in a particular lift or driving past a forest where the. Road dips down (Lady Dixon park). I'm pretty sure the Z10 will hold on to the signal now.

I have an iphone 5 and was comparing with the z10, both on the three network UK. The Z10 constantly had a better signal and was much more likely to be on 3G, rather than 2G, in dodgy areas.

I've always noticed that whenever I would go on my back patio with cell phones, the signal would go to zero. I figured it always had to do with my back door being made of thick steel. I'm happy to report that this problem is completly gone with the purchase of the Z10. Full signal now.

This is the main reason I've returned to BlackBerry. I've had an iPhone and an S3 and found they were both very nice gadgets but almost useless as mobile phones.
I've never had any phone that can beat a BlackBerry for signal strength.

Have to agree, the Z10 at least indicates better signal than my iPhone5.. but we know Apple fiddled with the sums that make up that anyway.. so I don't trust indicated signal strength on any device.. its the ability to MAKE / RECEIVE a call or SEND a text.
When I was on O2 I would so often get voicemail prompts when the phone was in full signal.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'll def agree. Coming from an S3 the Z10 is much better with cell reception and also I noticed the wifi signal on the Z10 is much better also. With my S3 I would barely be able to connect on net to wifi in my room with the router all the way in the basement. Either I would connect and have 1 bar or it just drops. I then have to connect to LTE. The Z10 holds 3-4 bars consistently and never a drop. Love it.

It may be related to the inclusion of Paratek chips on the Z10.

Re: Z10 signal is pretty strong.
Little update, I was in a friend's house last night and the Z10 kept a constant signal where both the 9700 and 9900 would have no signal at all. The only phone that kept a similar signal in his house was the 8800 I used for a week while waiting for a 9900 replacement.
I am very impressed. I also tested the wifi hotspot at somebody's request and I can say it's better than my broadband router, full signal on same floor and one bar drop on the next floor.www.blackberryphoto.com coming soon - 02-26-2013, 02:21 AM #19
I can vouch for this as well. I can carry on calls while I am driving down this one road where my 9900 ALWAYS dropped the calls

I have to agree. My Z10 has maintained a steady signal in areas where my iPhone has consistently dropped its signal.
