I read some posts about similar problems at crackberry forum and support forum. But I can't find any really working solution. Is there any accurate solution for this problem.

I realized something about this problem. For example my battery level jumps to 80% to %100 in two mintutes. You can this increase in image.

    My phone is STL100-1

    My OS is 10.2.0.424

Hi!!!! Welcome to CB!!!! I know I've seen many posts about this. Is it always that it shuts down? Whether usb or plugged into the wall?

The same happened with me. I took the battery out for an hour or so then plugged it in with a charger attached. When it booted up it showed that battery at about 6% and now shuts off at 0%

    Hi!!!

Yes,it always shuts down. This problem has existed for too long. I waited for OS update. I upgared it to 10.2. But it still exists.

    I plug in to wall.

I have tried it for 3-4 for times. For ex. Last night, I removed battery all night.

maybe you can try snap in another z10 battery, just to see if the problem is on your phone or your battery is damaged.

That was happening to me on the Leak, but then my phone got the update anyway. So far the problem has stopped.

I had exactly the same problem. It's a faulty battery.

Combination of faulty hardware design and leak installation. Mine is it at 91% charge maximum post official OTA update to Z10STL100-1/10.2.0.1791

This is my experience and changing battery hasn't helped and I don't want to replace my phone.

I think this is probably hardware fault since most people if not all reporting this happens to be using STL100-1.

Have you tried draining your battery to 0% until it shuts off by itself? Some may not agree but it will not hurt unless you do this everyday. After it shuts down, charge it using the wall charger. I timed my Z10 before and it should be 100% fully charged after approximately 2 hours of charging (without opening any app other than the battery app) on a 750 mAh wall charger. If after that, the device displays anything but 100%, pull the charger and put it back in. Keep doing this until you achieve 100%. If after several tries, and it still won't get 100% (for example, 99%), pull out the charger and use the device to drain some charge. Charge it back again when you're about 90%. Most of the time, I achieve 100% full charge by doing this. If not, I just repeat some processes. I know, this might be lengthy but this is the only solution that works for me.

Aha no surprise. I have been facing this problem from the day of unboxing my Z10STL100-1. First I thought I didn't charge it enough, then I read online here and on BlackBerry forum, did try the tricks, then waited for updates, nothing helped, got a replacement battery from BlackBerry support Center, that didn't help either.
I had reported this on BlackBerry support channel on Twitter as well.

Someone at BlackBerry Support Forum has advised me to report this to BlackBerry via Vodafone. That might help who knows but I will again get Z10STL100-1 only if at all the replace it.

Which again will have same problem right? I won't send it to support unless they tell me it is known issue and a replacement unit will fix it. Which I am sure they won't
