    Does anyone else notice this? Today was the first time I spent a good amount of time constantly (43 min) and noticed towards the end of the phone call it was hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold against my cheek.

    The area is about an inch or half an inch below the ear piece grill and cooled down soon after hanging up

    Is the processor there in that area or something?

    That's normal for a modern smartphone. If it causes an issue (the phone turns off, etc.) then you have a problem. Otherwise, that is normal, especially if the ambient temperature is hot.
