Several reboots everyday. Returned phone for repair but claimed there was nothing wrong. Provider (Fido Canada) says i have to send it in for repair 3 times to get replacement. Very frustrating!

my ATT z10 was rebootinging randomly and narrowed it down to it was happening when i would set the phone down on a hard counter. pulled the battery out, stuck a business card underneath the battery, inserted the battery, closed it up and have had no issues every since. mine was not a software issue, but hardware only.

I'm going to give that a try!

    Hi,
OS 10.1.0.2312 seems to fix the reboot problem for a lot of people.
    Including my Z10.

Just got the second reboot that I know of. I am in Amsterdam and while it was charging on the desk beside me it rebooted.

T-Mobile Z10 with original OS with the T-Mobile $50 unlimited Europe data plan (which works great, by the way)

Correct, and I think that this will likely be the route to a solution for MOST people that have this issue.

Be careful about all the other "fixes" that don't work for most people.

I have been complaining about restarts for the last month and sometimes they have happened in the middle of a phone call.

As much as I have complained and cast my z10 aside to go back to IOS, today I sold my IPhone and I am 100% committed to the z10.

I am still pissed off about these carriers here in the USA dragging anchor when it comes to releasing the 10.1 update and I will continue to voice my opinion until the restart issues are resolved.

For now I continue to use my z10 because I have realized that the z10 has grown on me and I feel naked without it. Oh well, wait and see, wait and see.

Sent my Telus Z10 for repair because it was rebooting 3 times a day. After getting it back, it reboots even more often.

I will install the latest leak tomorrow.

    Z10 stop rebooting pleaaaaaaase.

+1. Also, after encrypting the media card i had a couple random reboots while transferring music via USB onto my Z10 media card. I thought my media card had issues but once I turned off encryption the problem stopped.

Hmmm ... thanks for sharing. I strangely had two reboots and one freeze + plus a boatload of Link crashes (grrrrr) once I put a new 32 GB card in the z10. More lagging too than before.

There is no need to install a leak now. Try sachup and install the latest official.

    Hello,

I have also the same problem on OS 10.0 and haven't happened me when updated to OS 10.1, but it is another case for me. When I put it down desk and will reboot after just need a minor collision between device and desk surface. I thought issues with battery.

Any you guys have the same me or any ideas?

A few people have reported their battery is a bit loose and causes exactly what you're describing. Their solution was to "shim" it with a bit of paper etc, or replace the battery? There was a similar issue with the Moto Defy (when I owned one) some people with same issue. They claim some batteries were not produced to spec. If you have a friend with a Z10 I guess you could test it.
