I don't think BBRY should waste time on smart watches. When the going is less tough, maybe, but not now.

I'm not big on the idea of smart watches, my watch still has gears instead of quartz or something digital.

Pebble says they aren't making one because they don't have access to the email.

Is there even a large market demand for a smartwatch? My gshock and citizen watches do all I need. Unless one is like a pip boy 3000 I won't be buying one. Don't know if there is a ton of profit margin in it for BlackBerry to pursue this. I think they (BlackBerry) are more concerned with interactive payment apps with NFC, bluetooth integration with more devices, and car applications with QNX.

Honestly, look at the night mode on the Z and Q10. The digital clock is detailed. Now imagine that as the face of the smart watch. Then add all other functions you have a crazy watch and smartphone accessory.

Remember they used the clock in the porch just as a clock. When Kevin realized it was a boxee dev alfa device.


The thoughts are endless.
