AFAIK, you cannot currently move or install applications onto an external sd card.

It's not that difficult to use up the available 16 gb internal memory ...

    3gb is OS
1.5gb for nova 3 and the likes and your already at 7gb and then once it saves contact data etc your nearly done this needs to be sorted!!!

Yeah...the internal memory should only be used for the OS and apps. If you have other things that need to be saved, use the SD. If you've used up 32Gb of SD memory, you're relying on your phone too much and you need help. Get a laptop.

Its impossible to fill out 16 GB of phone space unless you load music and videos to it. If you need lot of music and videos , buy 64 GB sd card and put everything there. Thats what I did but with 8 GB sd card

How you managed to do that? I installed more than 20 apps and I still have just 4.5 of 16 GB used?

Use File Manager to find that big files or connect your Z10 to PC and explore it.

Go to settings. Then storage and access.
Check how much data is used in the device and post it back here

I am having similar problem - no music or whatever on the device. It shows 12G "Other Data" on device.
    Any ideas what that means?

Pure speculation here: do you have the developer mode enabled for sideloading? I could imagine that space being logfiles from buggy apps filling the space...

This is what your usage should look like :

Z10 phone inbuilt memory is full-img_00000321.png

I have close to 30 apps installed. The majority of my media is set to automatically save to SD.

    Surely 'other data' is apps.

For those filling your device memory up with apps, how about deleting the ones you don't use.

For me games like nova are a waste of space.

I was thinking the issue could be caused by side loading. The developer mode is OFF - have side loaded couple of applications, and only during the process of side loading the mode was ON.

Not sure this is the case. On my device are installed ~40 applications, which count for much less than 1G of space, adding Nova 3, which is ~2G, this should make ~3-4G at most.
On the top of this adding the OS, let's say 3.5G, in total the used space should be ~7-8G in worse case. Still somewhere "lost" 4 to 5G.

Other data counts Blackberry OS data + default apps + all other apps which you install via Blackberry World... I got 4.4 GB used by "Other data" and I have 15 extra apps installed.

Try to remove apps one by one and see which one is consuming most of space.

YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STORE APPS ON SD CARD. Get over it. That's how all modern OS's work, and there are plenty of reasons why. Go ask Apple why they don't allow it, or Google (after Jellybean), or Microsoft.

The reasons have been listed 10s of times on this forum, and yet people keep making useless threads like this one.
