Its neither battery nor os. Its the problem with the model stl100-1.

I have tried every method. But after a few hours or a day or two the problem starts again.

No wonder why BlackBerry discontinued the model.

But we are still getting the old model in india from various online stores.

I'm so glad for this thread. After following each step i've run my Q10 through paces today and I can gladly say that i'm actually using my phone at 7% without it shutting down on me.

    Thank you!

The correct fix is to use usb cable and charge it from pc. I sometimes have this issue and charging from pc always works for me. After the battery gets charged back to correct percentage, use your regular charger.

Just how would that correct the issue? Wouldn't that be the same as plugging it in the wall.

Heck when I plug in either of my BB10 device into the computer I get a notification saying that the source isn't strong enough to charge the phone.

I guess the message you are referring to is result of plugging it into usb 2.0 port. Try plugging it into usb 3.0 port. I do not know how does this fix the problem but it does fix incorrect percentage problem for me everytime.

What I do is.. drain battery first and then after it shuts down take off battery... wait for 30 seconds.. put it back in and then charge it from pc. And yeah it starts charging correctly.

    Will do!

As of right now, the method posted in the OP has corrected my battery issue. If the problem returns i'll give your method a try.
