Just to let you all know... looks like that the original BlackBerry Multimedia dock for the Z10 with HDMI, dolby surround sound and full HD 1080p Model-no: 16001140, finally hitting the market.
Just received one in the post today it looks and works great.
Yes it's the original BlackBerry dock without cable or BB-box just wrapping but has the BB-manual with it.

The dock can be found on Amazon.de and Amazon. co.uk, sold by BlitzCompany.
Price seams to rise up every day depending on the high demand or limited stock, is 28.90 Euro right now.. ordered one on Sunday but paid only 16.90 for it at the time..
The parcel is being posted from Germany.

Works with the standard charger and BB-Link via USB as well no problems at all.



Yeah... running OS10.2.1.1925 / 1926-radio and the Clock from 1260... love it ;-)

Hate to be a buzzkill here but if i buy the HDMI cable and hook it up to my TV, what is the point of a dock?

It looked kind of cool when i was checking it out but i noticed that there was no HDMI cable in-built.

just use any good standard HDMI cable with what ever length you need, plug it in to the dock and off you go, no need for any special BB-cable...

The dock got the BB-mini USB and standard HDMI socket, no fuss.

By the way.. the dock is not only useful for TV but for Backup, charging and easy desk stand too.

It is a CONVENIENCE. You can leave cables plugged into the dock and not have to juggle the z10 and plugging in two separate cables. It is nicely weighted, so that the z10 is stable as potentially tugged off some perch by the cables. It presents the z10 in a nicely angled position (landscape only which is an issue with icons/homepage and some apps) so you can tap/etc while it sits in the stand.

As noted it uses a standard hdmi cable at both ends. So you don't need to buy a separate micro-hdmi cable.

But clearly, it is not a necessary accessory. And it may not work with all cases and probably won't work with many of them.

Kidigi makes a nice one too. It uses a regular hdmi cable from the dock to the tv or monitor. I've been using it at work for a month now. No issues other than the z not being in landscape all the time. Hopefully that's coming, unfortunately I'm a Verizon customer on 10.1.

I ordered a couple of them as well, thanks for the link! Shipping charges to Canada is low to and delivery in 6-8 days. I'll be monitoring that, if it holds than it's better than shipping via UPS within Canada!
