    Default Z10 Maps is awesome!

Not sure why Maps is getting such a bad rap. I used it today when I had to go take a detour on my way home from Six Flags and it worked beautifully!! I like it better than my TomTom!

I agree actually, I used it for the first time the other day and it worked like a charm, and the location was spot on.

I also felt the same until I started to compare driving directions between BB MAPS, google and Nokia Here. While I love the maps app for its ease of use and functionality, it gives terrible routes.

It's getting a bad rap because many people for whatever reason use it for other than navigating and feel that they need bells and whistles such as satellite view and things like that.

Personally, I really like my BB Maps for navigating and I simply browse the Google Maps site when I need other than navigating info. It's no trouble at all.

I wish I could agree or disagree but I wouldn't know since there's still apparently no data for the country where I'm living!!

Native maps is awesome. Last week my pops was too late to take an exit and it rerouted my trip quickly. I was thoroughly pleased.

its good for a basic maps app. I dont think anyone can fault it for that. its just not as advanced as the competitors and i think people would like more functionality. There is potential there that BB needs to build into it.

I use magellan and it blows away bbmaps, but yes bbmaps is ok for now, but needs a little work.

I use magellan on playbook too and its awesome.

Do you all really like the way traffic is displayed?
You can't tell which direction us red, very annoying.
    Otherwise it is still OK.
But if there was a native Google maps I would use it instead. For now I have to use via browser.

Is it the $5 map in a store?

BBMaps rocks! It may not be all things to everyone but it has come in handy at times when I least thought it would and worked well.

BlackBerry maps works well but I wish I could set the display like BlackBerry Traffic. I prefer just to be able to glance at the screen and leave the voice directions off. Still it has worked without a hitch the few times I've used it.

Satellite view is helpful for me because I am always looking for new fishing spots and that view is a must.

Latin American countries have never had love from BB Maps, and with BB10, we must rely on paid map apps.. that's not fair
