Z10 Keeps Crashing

My Z10 keeps crashing and it is driving me nuts. I only got it two days ago and now I am in quandary, is the phone faulty and maybe it will be ok if the shop change it or is the software buggy and a new phone wont fix the problem.

It keeps restarting by itself (battery life good). Then when it does restart sometimes it just restarts again for no apparent reason. Sometimes when scrolling through the contacts many times the screen just goes blank and even though I close the contact app every time I go back in I just a see blank screen. When writing emails it suddenly decide to restart which is really annoying, especially as I am trying to get used to a touch screen as it is. Even in the calendar it just restarts. Is anyone else having similar issues, can anyone suggest something to try.

yeah, that is far from normal. My phone has been on without a single restart/shut down since February 5th at 5pm, when I got it.

I'd exchange it as it seems to be faulty hardware.

Please try wiping and reloading the OS through BlackBerry Link first.

That's no good. I had my Z10 programs crashed twice but not the whole system.
The first one was the Hub. When I tried to copy an email address from the Hub, the Hub crashed and gave me a black blank page. The second was when I tried to move one app to another pane, the system was stuck to the home page. Both times I was able to get it back after rebooting.

I wiped the phone back to factory settings, I thought it was ok, but when the alarm didnt go off this morning, phone being in bedside mode, this was the last straw. It had crashed again during the night. Fortunately the vodafone shop in braintree, essex, didnt quibble and replaced the phone immediately. I have used the new one all day today and found it to be fautless. Seems like there was a fault afterall.

Try security wipe! It should work in'sha'Allah

A factory reset is *not* the same as an OS reload.

My blackberry z10 has crashed 4 times in one day and it restarts by itself, The 3 times it has crashed it has occurred when I am using Whatsapp the side loaded version

Mine was restarting 4 times a day when I had my media card from my old phone in it. I took it out and its drastically improved but it happens once every other day now.. Its annoying!

Same thing for me.. i'm on Verizon, and from what i'm reading, it may be the old OS they have. I'm going to wait for VZW to push out an upgrade.
