My old Z10 will only power up after battery dies by holding the volume key and power button. If runs fine otherwise but won't charge either after it dies unless it's restarted. Any ideas?

Let it die in peace? lol. What OS is it on and have you tried reinstalling said OS?

Man I love that phone. I'll check the OS and see. Pretty sure I updated over Air. No wipes yet. I had 3 of them in at one time. I kept the one with an unusually good camera. It takes photos like my nikon point and shoot

Z10 stl100-1 has a battery call error. I too face that. With this bug this is not reliable to go alone with,z10. I do connect charger, suddenly remove battery and long press power and allow it to boot up on ac power. Later I get battery not exist error. Then I disconnect the connector and put battery and connect an press power, after these it goes well to 100. I do this every once in 3-4 charge cycles.. this is purely problem with battery calibration chip or something. Phone thinks there is charge left, but actual battery dont.....some times phone thinks there is no charge,but battery has some.

I used to use those crappy extended battery, maybe it screwed it up
