hi..lately my Z10 keep on rebooting by itself few times in a day..i found out that whenever the back of it touches something hard it will get rebooted..eg. when i put it on the table out from my pocket, then red flash start flashing..or i just simply knock on the back of it and it will get rebooted..

    any one having similar problem?..thanks..

Sounds like maybe the connector is not touching the battery contact points well. Try to slide the battery up and put something on the bottom to push the battery into the connection point tighter just an idea.

Glad to hear it works, though a little disappointed that this problem exists

Yeah. Feel like a cheap build sometime. But what to do, my ego won't let me use other platform.

This happened to me a couple of times, thought it was a shirt! "good grief charlie brown". Thanks for the solution. Should this be reported to BlackBerry quality control or something?

If I had to guess, I'd say it's caused by some batteries being slightly smaller than others. We won't know if it's battery or phone until someone with this problem tries two batteries. If it is ok with one battery but not the other, we know it's a battery problem.

Something has moved, stretched or shrunk. IDK. You can get a replacement for free if on contract, but it's a lot of hassle.

I finally realized yesterday that my Z10's (Verizon STL100-4, software release 10.1.0.2039) random reboots were being triggered by physical jolts, like setting it down on a table or even a quick shift from one hand to the other. Then when I went to see if some else had noticed the same thing I came across this thread. I've put in the paper in a couple of spots and now when I bang the phone on the table it won't reboot. Hallelujah! Maybe this is why BlackBerry is moving to non-removable batteries. I would prefer removables, if BlackBerry would up the build quality - they should install the paper at the factory ;=)

Certainly isn't the first time BBRY has had issues with loose batteries.
