This has occurred to me twice now. Yesterday I was searching on amazon when it froze up and I just put my phone away in my pocket, few minutes later I was smelling a burnt rubber smell, reach for my phone in my pocket and nearly burned my hand, it was flaming hot to the touch even through the Crackberry case, took the case off since i needed to get access to pull the battery and almost developed severe burns. touching both the screen and the back of the phone. I smelled that burning smell for hours, think my pant pockets were damaged. I love the keyboard on this phone and that's why i lasted through the 14 day return policy. But i'm beginning to think this thing is a fire hazard. Anybody else have this problem?

Seriously?? From a person with 8 posts?? You do realize when you pour gasoline on a phone and light it on fire that it will burn your hand right!!!

I have had one instance of the keyboard becoming unresponsive where pressing the keys did not result in a letter being typed. After trying different options for text entry I decided to do a battery pull. By that time I noticed the back of the phone was hot. I haven't posted about it because I was waiting for the 10.1 update thinking it was just an OS hiccup. I feel confident things will smooth out over time.

Happened to me. Disabled gestures during lock screen. Haven't had the problem since.

Why are you writing this and hurting your burnt hands. Take BlackBerry to court if there is any truth in your statement (op).
