My Z10 fell in the ocean, I immediately dried it and put in rice for a few days. When I put in the battery the red light goes on for a bit but nothing else happens. Any ideas?

Maybe take apart what you can and try drying it some more, however unfortunately with that salt water you may be SOL. Luckily BlackBerry has mass quantities of Z10's left and they will ship

    Best of luck though

Take comfort in knowing that your Z10 is now in the after life, according to his religion. I would arrange a small funeral for him at his grave

CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. Probably too late, but worth a try. Rice is nice but you need to "wash" it out when salt water is involved. This stuff will do it.

Hey think about it this way, you have a clear excuse to get the passport!

Try flushing out the salt. Remove battery and submerse in distilled water, move to another container with fresh distilled water, then another. This will hopefully decontaminate it as each new fresh tub of water has less salt in it that came out from the previous. After several cycles, dry for days with rice, etc. Then give it a shot. You can't hurt it anymore at this point.

Honestly it's best to use something like the CRC QD Electronic Cleaner -- it's what they're made for.
