With the OP's 4500mah battery, the Z10 should last 12-18 hours easy depending on use.

    Z30STA100-5/10.3.1.800
I get at least 8 hours on normal usage

thats true; but the battery shouldnt be dying out so rapidly..I would really like to know what is causing this damn mess!
My point is that you may be solving the issue. Don't judge until you finish the setup, charge tonight, and see tomorrow.

I have nothing new to add to what I have already suggested in this two page thread. Check your current idle cpu %, and read this thread.

Try finding an older autoloader so it prompts an update once you install it; then as conite said, wipe the device and slowly start adding your account back

I tried everything here except reloading via BB link which i cant becouse i get the error mentioned above.
I tried using an older autoloader and install the new one over the air. the battery drains with no accounts/wifi/sim/apps.
The only thing that appears in Battery and CPU tab's for the last 24 hours is System with 80 %. thats WAAAY to high..

Some devices just don't settle nicely. Had it with mine also a bit quirky from time to time. Had it send in for repair as it also rebooted sometimes without any reason.

They send me a new device in return and now it just is flawless. Gets me through the day easily.

One thing that also makes quite a bit of a difference is doing a sic multi wipe before flashing an install with an autoloader. That way everything is nice and clean before installing anything.

No need for a sic wipe jeroen. Just erases the empty phone a couple of times.

does your phone connect to link? if it does, you should have the option to reload the factory os (which was what i did)

I just thought I'd add that I'd ur on your phones constantly 7 hrs is fairly good for a z10. For me I get 12 hrs + but in nor on it constantly. Sure I browse the Internet read. Crackberry and a few other forums check Facebook and Twitter. But my phone gets some down time. Maybe that's the difference for those getting 5 hrs and those that get 12. U always have to consider the usage

I can get you out of trouble if you're patient enough. How fresh is your OS? And what version? Phone version? And where you live?
7hrs standby is it when you're home? Or work? Or travel?

I think you're mixing the two up..reload would prompt you to reinstall the original software the device came with (downgrade the os) and not to update it

Don't worry about "hours left". It is just setting up, so battery might be rough for a bit.

Focus on current cpu usage in device manager.

If you have a completely clean install, don't do anything until you have that number down to 5% or so. Sometimes it takes an hour to initially settle.

Add your accounts and then wait for it to settle again back to 5%.

If it can't settle after only adding your accounts to a clean install, then you may have a fault with your phone.

    So far so good

Q10. That will make it a bit trickier since I own Z10 so we can't be working off the same baseline . We can try though.
Now I assume you don't have any android apps installed right?
Do u have Wifi router at home? What exactly GSM mode have u turned on 2g, 3g, 4g or combination of those.
We will be trying to get you healthy standby baseline when the phone does nothing but rests on the table with screen off, so any complaints of battery life while playing games, watching movies is beyond our scope ok.
How many email accounts and sync interval? Using Facebook, Twitter ?

I am using another phone untill this one gets fixed. I just used an autoloader 2 weeks ago ,security wiped and i charge it from time to time. No apps, no accounts, no sim, no wifi.

The only thing that drains my battery and cpu is the System.
Now, to answer your questions i do have a router at home . I tried 2g and 3g (as i am struggling to fix my drain for a month now with no luck) and no difference. I do not have any apps installed now, i did have some before using an autoloader. I tried pretty much everything except reloading via BBlink which seems to have helped most of the ppl that are facing battery drain. So lets focus on that.. how do i solve that "there are no blackberry device software available for your phone" message.

So does the phone connect in BlackBerry Link? Does it give you the option to restore and back up etc...if yes, you should be able to press "reload" and it should wipe your phone

No I had this battery for a while now; it lasts me the day and I don't have to rely on spare chargers

I think you're trying to press software update..reload would ask you to wipe the phone not update the software so it's very strange
