I was charging my Z10 last night on a PC, suddenly it went off and restarted. Before it finished the process, it went off again and restarted again. i have tried to;
1. take out a battery for a moment and put it back again - only turns on and goes back off and repeat the problem.
2. I also tried to reload the OS - No luck, wont even turn on.
3. i tried 1 and 2 while in the office, went back home and used a charger, it turned on and the battery was 0%, it didn't show any sign of moving even to 1%. after few minutes unused, the phone went off again. now it doesn't turn on unless on a charger and will go off few minutes if its not used and suddenly goes off if i unplug the charger.

Now i have only one option remaining, to replace the battery. i have found a solution from http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z10-f254/z10-died-charge-red-light-bb-logo-restarts-913991/

Before i go for a 22$ battery is there anything else i can do?

Try powering it up on the mains charger with a battery.

Just give it charge to 1% from a charger. Be patience, it will take about 2-3 minutes. I had that issue a lot of times.

If the battery was not strong enough to power up the phone , it could be stuck in a loop.
In this state , it will not charge the battery.
Try inserting another charged battery to start it.
At this point you can use your own battery and it will charge it.
( once out of loop you can also reload OS - you don't need battery in if using link )

Had same issue couple of days before, after 10-12 restarts, used a lumia's charger and all went fine.
Suggest to try this once.

As an FWIW... I bought a Z10 when they were intro'd in the US and that OEM charger output was 750mA. A few months ago bought one from Shop BBerry and that OEM charger outputs 850mA.

Great to hear , it worked for you !

With the Z10 , having extra batteries is a must !

For the future avoid having it discharge completely. When you see the battery is low just replace with another battery.

(BTW , a independent battery charger is also a good investment. )

I can usually do a day on a battery !

All day on a Z10?? That's pretty impressive. I usually get 4-5hrs.
