    Hi
My Z10 went dead. pressing power button or any other button doesn't seem to do anything.

Only when I connect to the charger or to the computer, the red LED turns on followed by 'BlackBerry' displayed on the screen for few seconds and this cycle continues i.e. red LED and then 'BlackBerry' on screen again and again but the phone never turns on actually.

I have tried holding the power button and also holding the vol up+down but nothing works. The BB Link doesn't detect it when I connect my phone.

Thanks in advance if anyone can suggest any fix. Cheers

This is why macs allow the installation of windows ;-) Sorry... Not that I know of... it seems like the battery is shot... did you try another one?

I don't have access to another battery right now. May be I should try that
Actually I still have warranty that is I can take it to the agent for repair/replacement but I just wanted to save that hassle and see if I can do anything myself

    Thanks for your input

I heard that charging the battery outside the phone would get the battery to charge up the phone and then it would come on but i haven't tested it out yet

If your PC recognizes that the device is connected you might have hope. Otherwise just take it in for a warranty replacement.

I had the same problem sometimes ago.

It appeared that I accidentally drained the battery.

The cure was to used external drip charger to charge the battery.

And now I have to make sure not to totally drain the battery to avoid the same problem..

    Hope this helps.. cheers

Hy! I have the same problem. When I plug the phone into the charger I get the BlackBerry logo on black screen and after a few seconds it is restarting (and keeps doing that). Next week I am taking it to a GSM service! Hopefully there will still be some life in it!

    get your battery charged.

Its a similar issue in PlayBook where you need to jumpstart the battery.
