First let me say that I have gone to BlackBerry 10 Software Updates - New Update Software for BlackBerry Smartphones - US after visiting How to reload the OS on a BlackBerry Z10 or BlackBerry Q10 | CrackBerry.com but Blackberry LINK and Blackberry Desktop Software don't read/register my z10. I have used this z10 without an issue but unfortunately did not have my charger and the battery went flat. I have tried to turn the power button on and off for 10 seconds and I have tried to charge it using the usb cable (removing the battery) and connecting it to my windows pc. Can anyone recommend anything else please?

thank you for the reply but I did try that and when it asks for pin its as if it doesn't know the z10 is plugged in. *sigh* i know there is a solution.

A prompt will appear and the BlackBerry smartphone will show in the drop down list on your PC shortly after the LED lights up (it could show up as USB: UNKNOWN or USB: BlackBerry (PIN) – both are normal/fine).
Click the OK Button as soon as it becomes enabled - you only have a few seconds to do this!
Once the above steps are completed successfully a dialog will be displayed stating Checking for BlackBerry Device Software updates

I can't tell if you tried. Remove the battery and plug in the usb and try using bblink again. If that does not work, again with battery removed, try using an Autoloader - check the leak OS subforum

Have you tried F2's suggestion ?

Attach to computer via usb wIthout battery. Wait about 30 seconds then insert battery.
    .
Also , have you tried using another charged battery ?

Have you tried it with any other batteries? Your battery may be too fully drained to power on the phone - try plugging it in for a night and see what happens.

    Then, try this http://m.wikihow.com/Revive-a-Cell-Phone-Battery

Just thought I'd share that after leaving the battery out of the BlackBerry z10 for a couple days I decided to put the battery back in and I saw the little red light and plugged it in to charge right away and it is now working. I'm using it to write to you now! Woot! Don't give up on your BlackBerry!
