I have been having problems with my contacts and calendar apps today. My hotmail account has been on my phone since day one but this morning I noticed half of my contacts missing so I went to account settings and deleted my hotmail account (this is the account that I use to import my contacts into phone) re installed account but contacts not syncing. I did a full backup and security wipe and then tried to restore but would not restore from my backup so I tried an earlier backup which worked ok but still my contacts are incomplete. The hotmail account shows up then dissappears when in hub or account settings. Calendar app is missing my hotmail appointments too, local calendar appointments are ok though. Thought my phone picked up a virus but security wipe and reload did not fix this. Any ideas??

According to multiple news reports and multiple threads on CV, Microsoft had an outlook and outlook outage today. They're resuming service which should fix your problem.

Also, this hasn't affected my htc phone or playbook at all. Only my Z10

Bad programing by BlackBerry. I said to BlackBerry since BB10 release why isn't there a way to sync your contacts, tasks and calender to a master list that isnt controlled by active sync; that is user controlled. Cause guess what happens when it doesn't sync properly......

My htc phone and playbook both still have their contacts and calendar appointments though, why is it not ok on z10?
