Got to work and realized I didn't have my charger cord with me. I had left it in one of my 14 pockets (yes 14) of my uniform pants which were sitting on the washer to be washed.
By the time I called home, they had already been washed and dried. I asked my wife if it was still in the pocket and it was. I then asked her to see if it still worked. She plugged it in to an old android phone we have...and it still worked. What! I wasn't going to plug it into my z 10 first. Lol

So you let your wife plug in a charger that had got wet and potentially dangerous because of this?
Hmmnnnn........not the best idea in the world there. Maybe next time think of the dangers that could have happened if the charger had caught fire or your wife got an electric shock because of this. Glad that your charger is apparently working ok still, but I am more glad that your wife didn't get injured through it.

I believe the OP said charger cord, so I'm thinking usb. Usb = low volts. I still would not get water into the usb side of a BlackBerry cube charger because it's so small, but the cord was probably toasty warm and dry coming out of the dryer.

Not paranoid really. As an engineer I have seen too many people get water into their electronic systems and then try to power them up after they think it is dry and safe to do so. Had one person get a shock that caused them to be off work for six months, so anything that potentially has mains voltage going into it has to be treated with caution, especially after any water contamination really.

Nice BlackBerry products can be cleaned as they never really dirty.

Where as ios products will always remain dirty no matter what.

I was not making light of the hazard of mixing water and 110v.
Most electrical fatalities occur from residential voltages, for two reasons, one its very common, and two- the majority of people are ignorant to the hazards.
