I noticed that on my white Z10, that the backplate is not totally flush near the volume keys, top, and the bottom. I replaced it with another one and it still has this issue. I believe its more noticeable on the white model more likely that the black. If you press near that area, you can see its not flush. The other side near the USB port is totally flush.

Are you talking about the sides where it snaps onto the phone or along the middle of the plate?

The only place I've noticed my back plate to not be flat is where it makes contact with the NFC pegs. Other than that, my back plate is completely flat.

I have the Black one and it seems perfectly flush all around, maybe you just have a bad one.

I'm going out on a limb here. But I'd say that's where you probably open it when doing a battery pull. The white BB back door is softer plastic then the black, I believe. I take it that a lot of people are bending it too much like I was when removing the door causing it not to go back on as tight.

My advice is when we take off the back battery door we should be a bit more gentle and maybe slide a bank or credit card alone the side to keep it tight.

Seems like the clips on the backplate aren't snapping in properly around that area. Like the clip on the plate is too small to snap in.

You need to reseat the cover and press firmly. I noticed the same thing with my Z10 after reading this thread.

Mine is completely flush, not at all like that pic. I have a black model. Only taken off battery door once to put in a SD card.

Hmm, that's worse than mine. It's more noticeable on the white. I noticed the black version is more flush than the white. I would get that exchanged if possible. I managed to get mine replaced.

Mine sits perfectly flush all around. When I place the backplate back on I seat the top first, then go around the volume rocker side halfway, then usb side halfway, then the bottom on either side.

yeah, it's the one snap that won't snap in, or only does so halfway. the snaps on the backplate and the phone don't seem to be broken. going to bring it in tomorrow...

Woah! Dude(or Dudette), if you can't snap it in place, definitely an issue and needs to be returned.

Was it like that when you got the phone? Or only after you opened it and put in your SIM?

Either way, you'll find out soon when you return it as the first thing they are going to do is try to snap it back down as hard as they can.

Have you tried snapping it on starting from the top part?
